This Nobilia Easytouch kitchen was designed as part of a high-end barn development in Holcombe, creating a modern, design-led space to complement the architecture and setting.
By combining clean handleless cabinetry with industrial textures and premium materials, the finished design delivers a kitchen that feels both contemporary and highly desirable for prospective buyers.
What were the goals for the new kitchen?
The client was developing two high-end barns for sale and required a kitchen that would elevate the overall property and appeal to modern buyers.
The brief was to create a stylish, on-trend kitchen that felt complete and well specified, ensuring it would stand out while adding value to the finished home.
What design challenges did we solve, and how?
Although the space was generous, larger open-plan areas can be more challenging to design effectively without leaving them feeling underutilised.
The kitchen runs along the back wall and corner, overlooking the surrounding landscape. The design needed to maximise the available space while maintaining a strong visual impact and a balanced layout.
An island was introduced to anchor the space, providing additional preparation, storage and social space, helping to create a cohesive and functional design.
Which cabinets and worktops did we choose, and why?
Nobilia Easytouch handleless cabinetry was selected in a taupe finish, paired with Concrete Terra Grey accents to create a modern, industrial-inspired aesthetic.
The colour palette was chosen to reflect the character of the barn, combining earthy tones with a clean, contemporary finish.
Caesarstone Puro White worktops were selected to provide contrast and brightness, offering a durable and low-maintenance surface suited to everyday use.
Which appliances and features complete the kitchen?
A full suite of Siemens appliances was integrated into the design, including double ovens, a venting hob, dishwasher, tall fridge and freezer, and a wine cooler.
The venting hob allows for a streamlined look without overhead extraction, maintaining the clean lines of the kitchen.
Additional features such as handle rail lighting, under unit lighting and illuminated open shelving enhance both usability and the overall finish.
A Blanco undermount sink paired with a Choice 5-in-1 tap completes the sink area, combining practicality with a premium look.
How does the finished kitchen work day-to-day?
The layout delivers a highly functional space with generous worktop areas and clearly defined zones for cooking, preparation and storage.
The island creates a central focal point while improving usability, making the kitchen suitable for both everyday living and entertaining.
