Nobilia Easytouch Sand Kitchen | Terrazzo Laminate Worktops | Bosch Appliances | Rangemaster Cooker | Franke Sink & Tap | Kitchen Kit Truro

This beautiful Nobilia Easytouch kitchen was designed for a family home renovation project in Truro, Cornwall. The client was transforming the property room by room and visited our Truro showroom looking for inspiration, practical ideas and guidance on how to maximise the available space.

By combining soft neutral tones, generous storage and a highly functional layout, the finished kitchen delivers a contemporary space that feels bright, welcoming and perfectly suited to everyday family life.

What were the goals for the new kitchen?

The client wanted a modern kitchen that would feel light, elegant and practical while providing significantly more storage than the existing layout.

A key requirement was incorporating a large range cooker into the design while also creating a social seating area where family and guests could gather. The kitchen needed to work hard as part of a busy family home while maintaining a clean and contemporary appearance.

What design challenges did we solve, and how?

One of the main challenges was creating a social seating area within a space that was not large enough to comfortably accommodate a full island.

Rather than compromising circulation space, we designed a peninsula arrangement that delivers many of the benefits of an island while maintaining clear walkways throughout the room. This approach allowed us to introduce additional storage, preparation space and informal seating without making the kitchen feel restricted.

The result is a layout that flows naturally into the adjoining utility area while remaining practical for everyday use.

Which cabinets and worktops did we choose, and why?

The kitchen features Nobilia Easytouch cabinetry in a Sand finish, creating a warm and elegant colour palette that helps brighten the room while maintaining a contemporary look.

Stainless steel bar handles were selected to complement the modern styling and tie in with the appliance finishes.

For the worktops, a 38mm Nobilia laminate surface in Terrazzo Reproduction was chosen. The subtle terrazzo effect introduces texture and character while providing a durable, low maintenance surface suited to busy family living.

Which appliances and features complete the kitchen?

A range of premium appliances and practical features help complete the design.

The appliance package includes a Bosch integrated fridge freezer and dishwasher alongside a striking 110cm Rangemaster range cooker with ceramic hob, stainless steel extractor and matching splashback.

Additional features include under wall unit lighting to improve usability and create atmosphere, along with impressive 120cm drawer units that provide exceptional storage capacity for cookware, utensils and everyday essentials.

A Franke stainless steel sink and matching tap complete the preparation area.

How does the finished kitchen work day-to-day?

Following installation, the transformation of the space was immediately noticeable. The lighter colour palette and improved layout have created a kitchen that feels larger, brighter and more inviting.

The generous storage solutions help keep work surfaces clear, while the peninsula creates a natural gathering point for family and guests.

The finished design successfully balances practicality and style, providing a contemporary kitchen that works beautifully for everyday living while complementing the ongoing renovation of the property.
