Nobilia Cascada Reed Green Kitchen | Shaker Style | Taxus Worktops | NEFF Appliances | Nanpean

This warm and characterful kitchen renovation in Nanpean features the Nobilia Cascada range in Reed Green. Designed and supplied by Kitchen Kit Truro, the project gave the homeowners an opportunity to create a kitchen better suited to their taste and everyday requirements following a house flood.

Combining Shaker-style Reed Green cabinetry, 38mm Taxus reproduction laminate worktops and carefully selected NEFF appliances, the finished kitchen feels homely and welcoming while providing practical storage, accessible cooking and room for the existing dining furniture.

What were the goals for the new kitchen?

The clients wanted to create a warm, homely kitchen that reflected their personal style while making everyday cooking and storage easier.

Eye-level ovens were an important part of the brief, providing more comfortable access when cooking. The new design also needed to include ample storage without reducing the space available for the dining table and the customer’s own display cabinet.

How was the available space used?

The U-shaped layout provides generous preparation space and places the sink, hob and ovens within easy reach of one another. Tall cabinetry was used to increase storage capacity, while the single and combination ovens were positioned at eye level for greater accessibility.

Open shelving within the tall cabinet run provides useful additional storage without making the room feel enclosed. A dedicated spice rack was also incorporated into the extractor unit, helping frequently used ingredients remain organised and close to the cooking area.

Why was Nobilia Cascada in Reed Green chosen?

The Nobilia Cascada range was selected for its framed Shaker-style doors and inviting character. Reed Green brings a soft natural colour to the room, complementing the customer’s furniture, patterned textiles and warm wall colour.

As part of Kitchen Kit’s collection of Nobilia kitchens, Cascada combines traditional styling with the practicality and considered storage expected from a modern German kitchen.

What worktops and appliances were included?

The Reed Green cabinetry is paired with 38mm Taxus reproduction laminate worktops. The warm wood effect helps create the welcoming look requested by the clients and complements the green diagonal tile cladding.

The appliance specification includes a NEFF larder fridge, single oven, combination oven, Flex induction hob and dishwasher, together with an Elica extractor.

A Franke one-and-a-half bowl composite sink in Onyx and copper single-lever tap complete the practical sink area. Under-cabinet lighting illuminates the worktops and textured tile cladding.

The finished result

The completed kitchen is warm, practical and full of personality. The layout provides the storage and accessible cooking features requested by the clients while retaining comfortable space for their dining table and existing furniture.

The homeowners have made the kitchen distinctly their own through their choice of colour, furnishings and finishing touches. Their retractable washing machine curtain is a particularly creative addition that adds character while keeping the appliance neatly concealed.

“Our aim was to turn an unexpected need for a replacement kitchen into a warm, practical space that reflected the clients’ personal style.”

The design needed to provide ample storage and more accessible cooking while retaining enough room for the dining table and the customer’s existing display cabinet.

Nobilia Cascada in Reed Green created the homely appearance the clients wanted, while the Taxus reproduction worktops and green diagonal tile cladding introduced warmth and texture.

Positioning the NEFF single and combination ovens at eye level made cooking more comfortable, while tall units, open shelving and a spice rack within the extractor unit helped make effective use of the available space.

The homeowners have added plenty of their own personality to the finished room, including a clever retractable curtain that keeps the washing machine concealed when it is not in use.
