Project Overview
Completed in December 2025 by Kitchen Kit Truro, this bespoke Nobilia Easytouch kitchen was designed for a full renovation of a hillside property in Porthtowan, Cornwall (TR4 8AA). Working alongside a local developer, the brief focused on creating a highly functional kitchen that flowed seamlessly into the adjoining living space, delivering a cohesive open-plan kitchen, dining and media environment.
The aim was to design a bold yet refined space that maximised storage, concealed structural elements, and made the most of the natural light provided by the skylight and elevated coastal setting.
What were the goals for the new kitchen?
The client wanted a modern handleless kitchen with strong colour contrast and generous storage capacity. As part of a complete renovation, the kitchen needed to integrate naturally into the living space, maintaining visual consistency throughout.
Key objectives included:
- Maximising storage using taller wall and tall units
- Concealing a large boiler within the cabinetry
- Creating a cohesive design that extended into the living area
- Designing bespoke media and bay storage to complement the kitchen
What design challenges did we solve, and how?
One of the primary design challenges was concealing a large boiler without disrupting the clean, handleless aesthetic. We designed a bespoke extra-wide tall unit in the same finish as the kitchen, allowing the boiler to remain fully integrated and visually unobtrusive.
To maximise storage without cluttering the space, we specified taller-height wall units and tall units, increasing usable storage while maintaining strong vertical architectural lines.
The client also requested design continuity into the living area. We created a custom window bay unit with pull-out drawers and a laminate worktop, alongside a coordinated media unit, ensuring the entire open-plan space felt unified and intentional.
Which cabinets and worktops did we choose, and why?
The kitchen features Nobilia Easytouch doors in Fjord Blue and Alpine White, combining bold colour with crisp contrast. The Line N handleless design enhances the contemporary feel while keeping surfaces uninterrupted and streamlined.
Sierra Oak accents introduce warmth and texture, softening the overall palette and tying the scheme together.
For the worktops, the client selected 20mm Caesarstone Arabetto quartz. This surface provides durability, refined veining detail, and a premium finish that elevates the overall aesthetic while remaining practical for everyday use.

The kitchen includes a full suite of NEFF appliances, chosen for performance and reliability:
